Boen Leads Berck to Victory at Mid-Nebraska

DONIPHAN, Neb. (July 18, 2008) – Last year Kelly Boen and Kyle Berck dominated the two-day O'Reilly NCRA Late Model Series presented by ICM/Ethanol event at Mid-Nebraska Speedway with each picking up a feature victory. After Friday nights opening round this year could be more of the same.
Just like last year Boen struck the first blow winning the opening night main event. But Berck was right behind to finish second and protect his points lead. Boen was only able to shave 25 points from Berck's point total in picking up his second victory of the season.
Boen chased down early leader Dave Eckrich in lapped traffic then passed Eckrich with inside move on lap 13. Boen pulled away to win by a half lap over Berck who passed Eckrich for second on lap 23.
