O'Reilly NCRA Modified North Opens
Season Saturday at 81 Speedway
Park City, Kansas (March 28,
2010) - The O’Reilly/NCRA
modified north division is set to kick
off its 13th consecutive
season this coming Saturday night as the
division is set to not only open their
season but take to a newly revamped
three-eighths mile clay oval of 81
Speedway in Park City, Kansas.
Dan Daniels of Humboldt, Kansas is the
defending champion and will look to not
only defend his 2009 championship, but
break into the win column as well.
Daniels picked up the title despite not
reaching victory lane during the eight
races held.
Division runner up Brian Powers of
Wichita will also be back full time with
the tour along with other Kansas area
drivers such as 2008 champion Marc Hurd,
five time division champion Brian Franz,
Jason Schniepp, Ross Shipman, Marlin
Farr, Greg Stephens and Jason Johnson.
2009 O’Reilly/NCRA modified north rookie
of the year Jim Pearcy of Springfield,
Missouri is also expected to compete
along with Sooner state drivers Casey
McClaskey, Michael McCleskey and Ed
Dunn. Close to forty drivers from three
states are expected for the $1000 to
win, $300 to start twenty car Hard Rock
Hotel-Casino feature finale.
Gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing
set to begin at 7:00 PM. General
admission is $9.00 for ages 11 and up
while children ages 6-10 are $5.
81 Speedway
is located North of Wichita on I-135 to
exit 16, then 0.7 miles west on 77th.

race season is the 40th
anniversary season for the O’Reilly Auto
Parts National Championship Racing
Association and sanctions five
divisions, including late models, sprint
cars, modified north, modified south and
southern modifieds throughout the Great
Plains region in the following states:
Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri,
